Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Dr. Tunji Alausa visits NOHIL
The Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa visited National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos on Friday, 27th October, 2023 to assess the state of the Hospital’s facilities in a bid to improve the service delivery of the Hospital.
In his address, the Minister said the Federal Government is committed to funding Tertiary Government Institutions across Nigeria in order to provide comprehensive healthcare services to every Nigerian. “We will improve healthcare governance by strengthening the healthcare system, making everyone more accountable. We will improve our population’s health outcomes and unlock the value chain of our healthcare sector so that we can be able to create jobs for young citizens of this country”. The Minister described NOHIL as a model that has set a high pace in service delivery and was happy with the achievements attained by the Hospital. The Medical Director of NOHIL, Dr. Mustapha Alimi earlier enumerated the achievements and challenges facing the smooth running of the Hospital. He disclosed that the Hospital has recorded success both in clinical services and infrastructural development.
